Its just so freaking frustrating.
In high school I told the recruiter guy that I wasn't intersted in joining not only the army but ANY of the armed forces. He then said that was okay and that I wouldn't hear from them again.
6 months later I get another call. Again I explain that I was not interested this time also adding it was against my non-violent morals. The recruiter guy so that was okay and that I wouldn't hear from them again.
6 months after that they call again. I explain all the above stuff and add that because I had just gotten a job, I wouldn't have the time. The recruiter guy said that was okay and that I wouldn't hear from them again. See a pattern?
Anyways, today, 6 months later from the last call, I am asked again. And I explain all the crap I have said before. He then mentions how in joining I would have my school paid for and how part time jobs would be available and stuff. I said no. He said he'll call back monday if I change my mind. Good thing I am working. :|
But what is up with that?! I dunno whats worse--being told it was okay and that I would be left alone just to be called back later, or being ignored and being called back later. Why can't they just leave me alone? I AM NEVER GOING TO JOIN THE ARMY! How come they aren't seeing that? The army requires a certain type of person who can handle all the responsibilities and crap. I AM NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE! And I didn't lie when I said the army forces go against my non-violent stance. I guess I would be willing to die for my country if the situation required it and the cause a good one, but I REFUSE TO TAKE SOMEONE WITH ME! I don't care what the damned reason would be for. I can't even think of doing it.
I AM JUST SO DAMNED FRUSTRATED! ARG!
Next time they call I am telling them Yvette has moved to New Zealand.
